My Approach

I meet all my clients with warmth and compassion – you’ll find no judgement here, however trivial or irrational you may think your issue is. I’m interested to know how it feels for you and how it impacts your life. We’ll work together to make sense of it and explore how you can start to address it. 

Over the course of our sessions, you will develop the tools, techniques and confidence to become your own therapist.

I appreciate how challenging a decision it can be choosing the ‘right’ therapist. Hopefully, these pages will give you a flavour of both myself and the cognitive behavioural approach to hypnotherapy.  Therapy is a big investment of both your time and money, and it is important that you feel comfortable with the person you choose to work with. 

 
  • I offer a free, no obligation 20 minute introductory call. Ideally, we’ll do this over Zoom so you can see me properly and get a feel for what a session would be like. We’ll discuss what you are seeking support with and why and I’ll explain how I can help you and answer any questions or concerns.   

    You can take your time to decide and come back to me at any point if you have further questions. 

  • I will send you some short forms to complete in advance to give me a picture of how you are currently feeling. Our first session will be 90 minutes and we will discuss your issue in depth, looking at how it started, what maintains it and any ways you have tried to tackle it so far. We’ll discuss your goals for therapy so I can design your personalised treatment plan. There is no hypnosis in the first assessment session although, depending on time, we may do a short relaxation

  • Subsequent sessions will be up to 60 minutes each and may contain a mix of discussion, practical CBT tools and techniques, hypnosis and mindfulness. The techniques I select will be evidence-based, meaning that there is research to show that they are effective.

    Each session is tailored towards you and your therapy goals. I will share work for you to do between sessions which will keep the momentum going and embed the skills you are learning with me. Sessions will be spaced 1-2 weeks apart to give you adequate time to do this.

    We will review progress regularly and I will encourage you to give me feedback, so that I can continue to adapt and tailor the therapy to meet your needs.

    You will be an active participant on this journey and with your commitment and openness you can achieve lasting results in a short space of time.

Fees & Policies


Initial introductory call – 20 mins (Free)

Initial assessment session – 90 mins (Enquire now)

Subsequent sessions – up to 60 mins (Enquire now)

All resources are included in the fee, which may include worksheets, handouts, exercises, and recordings. Everything will be stored on your own personal Google drive for you to access whenever you want. 

Payment must be made at least 24 hours prior to the session via BACS bank transfer.


Cancellation policy:

Notification to cancel or reschedule a session must be made with more than 24 hours notice to avoid being charged for the session.
